The BENETEAU and Seascape teams partnered on the 2018 to jointly develop the new generation of First. Following the launch at the beginning of the year of three models for sport sailing and fast cruising (First 14, First 24 y First 27), we unveil you today, the first boat in our new regatta-cruiser range : el First 36.

El First 36 inherits the audacity of the First in their search for the perfect balance; to achieve this ambitious goal, a group of international experts was formed around Kristian Hajnšek, Seascape co-founder and technical director:

- Structure calculation : Pure Design & Engineering, New Zealand cabinet involved in TP 52, IMOCA or in the 36th America’s Cup with Ineos.

- Naval architecture: Samuel Manuard the French architect is the man of fashion at IMOCA after having experimented in numerous classes among which, the Minis and the Class40. Sam has been associated with Seascape from the beginning as he designed all of the First and First SE of 14 a 27’.

- Design : Lorenzo Argento. After his years with Luca Brenta and his work on some Wally especially, the Italian designer applies his line to the First 36 taking up the stylistic codes of his older brother the First Yacht 53 successfully launched two years ago.

- Finally, Gigodesign - Slovenian design research studio, many times awarded, brings his vision and innovative solutions to the project.

Kristian coordinates the design team and also liaises with the BENETEAU teams to ensure that the construction techniques used, are compatible with a series production.

El First 36 it is fully part of the 7th generation of the First, affirming itself as a subtle sailboat, elegant and very effective. Conceived by sailors for sailors, follows a very pragmatic reasoning that excludes the superfluous and gives a privileged place to use. Its wide and modern hull offers an interior space that is reminiscent of the First 40.7, adorned with numerous tricks that enhance life on board.

El First 36 will glide with medium wind, is our promise of a fun and versatile boat, either with a reduced crew or with a complete team. A sailboat for everything, from club regatta to fast family cruising.
